Oki looked carefully through the records, enjoying the crisp coolness of the autumn afternoon. Despite the cooling weather, most of the shops were taking advantage of hat little time left to keep outdoor displays set up, and Oki preferred this. She liked the air and the feel of the sun; she enjoyed that despite the bustle of the people around her, it never got too loud. She had left the apartment early, taking Suoh with her. She hadn't wanted to leave him home alone with Ruu and Kitsi again, and she wasn't sure when she would have another chance to shop this leisurely. She had an unorthodox idea she wanted to try with her class, and this record sale might be just thing thing she needed.

Suoh leaned in over Oki's shoulder, unamused that they were stopping yet again to buy things they didn't need. He was already carrying bags holding books, girly things, clothes and skimpy new pajamas (which he completely approved of). Now she wanted to look at records? He could eat none of this! And she'd had him up before noon and was interfering with his plans to deal with the feathered menaces in her apartment. Suoh didn't care they belonged to someone else. They were birds, and therefore were evil and somehow plotting his destruction in the back of their little hooting minds. Especially the fat one.
Suoh hated shopping...
"Ok', what are you after now?" he whined.

This marketplace was a sight busier than any he had been to in years... But it was a larger village and he trusted that the crowds would work in his favor. He'd been traveling for a while now and was getting tired of wild game. A nice fat coin purse could certainly help with that~
A flurry of movement and baggage caught his eye and he could himself watching a couple of shoppers. The boy... brother? .. He was carrying everything, and it didn't look like a small everything either. This pair had money to spare! Perhaps they could spare some for him~ He kept keen eyes on the girl, careful not to get too close before he found a suitable opening to snatch their change purse. He licked his lips in anticipation.

"I have an idea to help my students with movement," Oki replied, still engrossed with the records. "Why don't you have a look? I'm sure they've got some classical guitar, and you might find you like. Maybe learn some new songs?"
She reached up to absently pat Suoh's cheek.
The two were unmistakably siblings: They had the same build, same eyes, same way of moving. He, however, was just a couple of inches taller with hair more golden blonde than her silvery blonde. She, on the other hand, was all supply curves despite her lean build. Neither of the two were paying much attention to the market around them, and Oki's purse hung on the shoulder opposite of that which Suoh leaned over.

"I thought you said we were getting groceries?" Suoh huffed. "In fact, I seem to distinctly recall you saying 'C'mon Su, we need to go pick up a few things since you and Baoh are eating me out of house and home' as you pulled the blankets off of me just after dawn. Those don't look like groceries."
Suoh reached out and picked up one of the albums, studying it carelessly. "They don't even look good!"

The siblings had stopped at a music stall and were peering at various albums, unaware of the din surrounding them. That was his moment. Ryo leapt through the crowd, grabbing at the purse which hung loosely at the girls side. His quick feet didn't even stop as he clutched the treasure to his chest safely, bounding through the people. He could use them to help obscure himself before finding a place to secret himself away and investigate his reward for a successful snatch.
He just had to make sure to lose them first~

"We're still going for groceries," Oki assured him patiently. "We'll go right after we finish he- Hey!" she cried as her purse was snatched from her shoulder.

Suoh jumped into action as the purse was snatched, keeping close to the boy who had snatched it. He had dropped the bags, and his heart raced with the thrill of the chase. The boy was wiley, but he was graceful and wove easily through the crowd in his pursuit. He debated the use of a jutsu, but decided that this was really far more fun...

After turning a few corners, Ryo glanced back to make sure that he lost and would-be chasers... Shit. He had not.
Cursing he realized how close the brother was getting and tried to speed up a bit, but he was running out of steam. If he didn't lose this guy soon he'd have to cut his losses, give up the purse and try someone else.

Ryo would find himself further impeded when a hand erupted from the ground beneath him, grasping for his ankle as he ran.

Suoh caught the shape of Oki's thoughts before she performed the jutsu and kept hard on the boy's heels. If she missed, he'd get a chance to pounce.

Unfortunately, he never saw the jutsu coming... It grabbed his ankle with such force that his momentum sent him headfirst into the ground ahead of him, the impact sending the purse flying and him laying there; prone, dazed and the wind knocked out of him while the shock lingered with him.

Oki drew the foot she had grasped into the earth rather than burying the boy up to his neck. She had no intention of hurting the boy, but she didn't want him getting any ideas about another try. She walked past him to collect her purse and looked down at him coolly.
"Bad idea, kid," she said, pointing to her forehead protector. "You picked a bad place to try stealing."

Suoh slowed when the boy stumbled and trotted to a halt beside Oki as she retrieved her purse. He looked down at the boy.
"So what do we do with him now? Do you have to turn him into the Hokage or something?"

Ryo sighed unhappily as the siblings stood over him. It had been a while since he'd been caught quite so thoroughly.
"Okay fine, you won~" He propped himself up slightly, crossing his arms and resting his chin in a palm with a faint grin. "Did seem like a good idea at the time tho."
He glanced between the two, some of his childish amusement fading at the mention of the Hokage. "Yanno... I can just leave. No hard feelings right? It was just a joke."
