Oki wasn't impressed. "You haven't done many missions before, have you Rynin?"
She still didn't get this guy, and she really didn't understand why Yuki was giving him his shoes. She wanted to get going, but she wasn't going to take any chances by leaving with anyone unprepared.
"Where are your shoes?"

"Oh.... I see." Rynin said looking down at the shoe. He slipped the one he had on and picked up the two shoes and walking out of the building onto the ground, shoes in hand. "Thank you." He said holding them up for Yuki to take back. He looked over at Oki. "I left them on the balcony." He told her and placed a gentle hand on the Hawk. "Hello." He said to him and the hawk would feel a rush of warmth through him and an unexplained want to protect this boy.

What a pointless waste of time... Yuki could have reached the balcony from where they sat if he had of just stood up. It didn't matter... They could get going if Rynin would just get on the hawk. He simply tucked the shoes into his backpack, he didn't need them right now and couldn't be bothered to throw them on... "Ready to hit the skies then?" Yuki asked, trying not to grow impatient...
Koikihane lowered one wing, and allowed Rynin to easily climb up to wherever he was going to sit. Yuki was at the front, so it was more or less Oki's decision if she wanted to move forward into Yuki's back, or slide back to put Rynin between them...

Oki didn't really think about it, she simply scooted forward into Yuki's back to give Rynin room to climb up.
"Unless we have anything else that needs doing, I'm ready. Rynin?"

Koikihane would feel warm all over. A plesant warmth that made a person feel batter as Rynin climb up onto his back. "Your very kind to carry people around like this." He said stroking the hawks feathers as he sat a little away from the rest and facing the others direction.

Yuki stiffened slightly when Oki got close, but quickly relaxed again. He gave one check over his shoulder to make sure everyone was seated... "Grab 'em as we go past," Yuki said, and they were almost instantly in the air, flying, turning, and swooping past the balcony so Rynin could grab his shoes while they soared past, and then it would be on to the Water country...

Oki felt Yuki tense and immediately remembered herself. Things were different now. "Sorry," she murmured softly, sliding back into some of the space Rynin had left at her back. She pulled out the map and a pencil, circling the village on the map as she consulted the mission info. After another moment of quietly studying the map, she marked a small dot along the coast.

Rynin retreved his shoes but didn't put them on. he liked the feeling of the feathers on his feet. Once they were flying evenly Rynin stood up on the hawk spreading his arm.

"It's ok," Yuki said lowly, bearly turning his head back towards Oki. "It's just... Gonna take some time to get rid of the... electricity," he said.
Suddenly, they slowed down and Yuki looked puzzled until he realized Koikihane was compensating his speed to make sure Rynin didn't fall off. "Good way to have an up close and personal meeting with the ground," he commented, but didn't make the hawk speed up again, they were making good time as it was...

"Yuki has a good point, Rynin. I'd feel a lot better if none of us took any unnecessary risks, especially on the way to deal with the rats. I don't really want to have to explain to Tsunade that you fell to your death before we even got there..."

"I won't fall." He said looking at them. "Besides, Koikihane is very kind and since we're in no hurry it would be good for him to be able to fly at his leasure don't you agree."

Just what Yuki needed... An animal rights activist flying around with him... What would he say if they were on the pheonix... It's its right to extinguish its flames? Yuki just rolled his eyes. He sighed and leaned back for a second before doing the same as Oki and realizing he was getting too close to Baoh's girl, and he straightened back up... God he hated the awkwardness...
"It'll only take an hour and a half at this speed," was all Yuki said...

"I guess that leaves us time to figure out what we're doing. Do either of you know anything about rats?"

"They are small with round ears and long tails." Rynin said smiling at them. "Why are you two awkward around eachother?" Rynin asked them looking back and forth between them.

"They're deadly allergeric to both cats and cold," Yuki suggested, but Rynin's second comment shut him up cold, so-to-speak. He thought he'd let Oki field that one, she could color it however pleasently she'd like to, and Yuki would go with it for her sake. It was better than him just saying 'she dumped me,' and being done with it...
