Kataoka noticed the blush on her face and decided not to press the subject. His hands felt better - more relaxed perhaps, but they still felt like hell. "They're great...Thanks" He smiled warmly as he lied. The first of many to come, more than likely. Neither of his new friends could understand the pain, and it was unlikely they ever would.

Otomeken smirked. "I'll take that to mean 'good enough,'" she said and tapped her ear. "A person's body does funny things when they're not telling the whole truth... Or they're hiding something..."
Otomeken dismissed the though. "Ok, you were trying to learn Henge no-jutsu, right? So, can you do the half of the hand seal with just your right hand?" she asked, forming the other half of it with her own left hand and holding it out beside him...

lenore chuckled right along with Otomeken at the attempt the boy was making to hide what both Lenore and, she assumed, Otomeken, knew about from experience. She crouched down in the grass to watch where this was going.

Kataoka noted Otomeken's response. Her tapping of her ear seemed to indicate she was in fact a blind ninja. He would have to ask her about that later...But for now handsigning was all he needed to worry about. As Otomeken held her hand out, Kataoka began to form his hand into the complimentary sign. It took him a few seconds, but eventually he forced his hand into the proper sign.
"I'm attempting to master the kiwarimi actually, but the same principle applies. A shinobi must be able to use basic jutsus with speed as well as perfection to survive...and I am only proficient at the latter."

Otomeken nodded. "Well then. Perhaps we'll start with one hand seal at a time. For a henge, you need only the ox." She nodded at Kataoka's half-hand seal once he had it right, and fit it into her own hand. Instantly, Kataoka would feel the rush of Otomeken's chakra flowing into him as the seal was completed; a talent that as far as she knew, only her family, and very few she'd taught herself, had mastered...
She pulled her hand away again. "Ok, this time, we'll push together faster. If my hand is already in the complimentary shape, perhaps you can train your hands one at a time, to match..."
She formed the seal again, and pushed it out towards Kataoka...

Lenore watched with interest what they were trying to do. As far as training the hands went, she didn't really need to listen to that, but these signals they made when Kaliri moved the earth, or Kumori trapped her in shadow, they always mae them too quick for Lenore to see properly. She sat in the grass, copying with her hands what Otomeken was trying to manage with theirs. It was a bit odd, as their hands were two different sizes, but she thought she got the gist of it.

Kataoka felt the rush of chakra and was almost overwhelmed. He hadn't been expecting the sudden rush, or truly a rush of chakra at all. He fumbled around for a few seconds to get the right sign, and pressed it against otomeken's hand. His hand seemed to move unnaturally against his will. It was as though he didn't truly have control over his hand or muscles. His hands simply moved in the general way he wished, but not in finer ways required for handsigns.

Otomeken straightened and dropped her hands to her sides. "Kataoka-san... For a hand seal... any, I don't care, give me the finger if you want to..." Otomeken performed several hand seals in rappid progression and whispered, "Jinsei no-jutsu..." Now, she would listen to every aspect of Kataoka's being; his muscle tensions, his blood flow, his heart rate... Everything... She was quickly forming the opinion that he didn't need instruction... He needed acupuncture.... Or surgery...

Lenore sat up on her heels, and tilted her head at Otomeken. "What's wrong?" She asked, seeing the expression on the girl's face. She would have signed, but figured the gist of that would be lost on her. Not like she'd likely ever studied signing.

((OOC. Due to a serious lack of info, I'm going to make assumptions and guesses as to the nature of my character's ailment))
Kataoka fumbled about for a short while trying to get a proper handsign. Otomeken's hearing however, would not hear any muscle movement or blood flow from either of his arms or hands. The only thing she would hear was his bones faintly creaking together. The bones were almost moving on their own according to kataoka's wishes.
"Was that adequate Miss Otomeken?" he was becomming worried....Otomeken was becomming cross with him as he had predicted. So much for teaching the blind genjutsus. He had known from the start that she could not truly help him. In order to help somone, you must first know the problem. Not even Tsunade had figured out the problem yet...

Otomeken's eyes flashed open out of shock revealing piercing green eyes, deep with worry. Instantly, she grabbed for Kataoka's hands again to feel to try and confirm what her ears had heard.... "How???" It was all she could say...

Lenore stood, coming closer to Otomeken and Kataoka. "What's wrong, "miss Otomeken"?" She mocked, only halfheartedly, at the disturbing and unusual sight of the eyes. Eyes the colour of Yuki-san's, and although only as often seen, nevertheless just as telling.

Kataoka felt as though he were an outsider with no real part in the happenings...As though it were somone else with the odd problem and he were simply a spectator. Indeed, it appeared Otomeken was more interested in his arms and hands - His most useless attributes - then she was in him. While this was not uncommon with the older medical nins, the drastically younger girl seemed to mirror the old crones in many ways...
As she grasped for his hands, blood began to pump through them again...As though somone's touch were enough to suddenly revive his all but dead arms. He and the medical nins knew enough however, to know that the blood wasn't from the touch, but rather Kataoka's own will. Somewhere in his mind, there was something almost instinctual that made his arms slightly warm and life-filled when he anticipated touch. It was akin to closing one's eyes when an object is flying at one's face. It would be impossible for the person's own mind to perceive the threat, come up with a solution, and then enact that solution in time to stop the object. An instinct like this is different...Faster than normally possible. It was this instinct that had kept Otomeken from noticing the cold dead feel of his hands before now.
"I don't even know...It's been like this since I arrived in Konoha...Not even Tsunade has been able to help me...or at the very least tell me what the problem is...I just don't know." He seemed slightly mournful and apologetic with his tone...Indeed, he was sorry that he had not yet thought up a way to explain the problem to her. It had probably been best that she discover on her own...A tale as fantastic as his almost seemed an obvious lie.

Otomeken was very ginger in her touch. "So... I wasn't just hearing things? But... You're ok?" she asked, very sincerely, obviously more concerned about this new young man than the forgotten lesson of handsigns. It was going to take her some time to get over that... It was almost as if she didn't even register the fact that Tsunade-sama had already looked at this...

Lenore looked up at the boy. She seemed to guage him in new light. "it doesn't look to be causing him any especial pain. He's not limping, favouring anything not explained by simple exhaustion." She circled him as she spoke. "His breathing, though laboured from his obvious workout, seemed to be even. no wheeze, no stutters, or stress. He seems more worried about what you and I think. Or, you, at least." She took her eyes, finally, from Kataoka, and shifted them to the other young woman. "Something that you'll be happy to know seems to be a pattern with you." She nearly whispered. her attention came back to the boy. "You might consider finding another way to get around this road block. For now, it seems almost as though it's going to be an uphill battle with minimal positive results. I don't know much about these signs you people keep doing, but..." She looked to Otomeken. "Is there any way for him to get aroun having to do that? I know Kaliri can, once in a while....after a fashion."
