Oki shrugged. "We can go by anything you like, Yuki," she replied, paying Miyuki and waving as she left the shop. "But out of curiosity, why Itsuka?"

"Kazeitami is a little too well known since Orochimaru was after my family, and there was quite the reward out even for one of our bodies. I don't know how far that has spread, or who would still know, or still be on the lookout. So I think your name is a lot safer than mine... Since we're not ninjas..."
Yuki looked like inwardly he was in a little pain as he thought about it, but reached down to take Oki's hand to start the act... Apparently, that was what he needed to make this a mission, not a little of both, and he looked focused now...

Oki nodded softly, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "Do you want me to fill you in on where you're from and a bit about the family?"

Yuki didn't even consider the fact that any name would carry a history, and he should most likely know it. Suddenly, he was going to be of neither the Sand nor the Leaf and it unnerved him a little. "Perhaps you should," he said, as they went towards their train car...

Oki nodded and began. "The village was called Rakuen before it was destroyed. Sokka Itsuka was the harbor master there, and lived with his wife Miyu and children in a house that was once built by a captain. Miyu had a garden in the back yard where she grew orchids. There was a widow's walk on the roof where they would sit to watch the ships in the harbor as the sun went down. They had two children, a boy who would be you, and you'll have a twin sister. Both Sokka and Miyu were killed when a rogue group of ninjas destroyed the village. They had demanded money to leave it in peace, and Sokka had been a part of the local government that refused to give it to them..."

Yuki looked at Oki. He was now partly pretending to be her husband, and on another level, pretending to be her twin brother. He supposed it really was an honour, even if she knew absolutely nothing about her brother at all...
He opened the door to their private cabin and put their bags in, giving it a quick inspection. He was still listening intently to Oki while he did so however.
The only thing out of place was the empty brass bird cage that was sitting there waiting for them..

Oki stopped talking abruptly as she saw the bird cage.
"Wait, why do we ha- Oh! Oh, Yuki... You don't honestly plan to put him in that for the trip, do you?"

Yuki reguarded her as if she had three heads. "Of course not! Why do you think it's empty. I won't even summon him again until we get to the end of the line..." he said with certainty. "And even then, he'll likely spend most of his time on my arm..."

Oki nodded and shoved her bag into the overhead compartment before settling down.
"Good, I'm sure he'll be more comfortable like that." She paused for a moment. "Is there anything else you want to know about the Itsuka family? I don't know much more, and with any luck we won't run into anyone from the village who'll know you're very much not an Itsuka..."

Yuki quirked an eyebrow. "It's the blonde hair that gives me away huh? Guess I never should have dyed it..."

"Well, that and they'll likely know Sokka and Miyu had a daughter named Oki and spot my resemblance to my mother. I'm also pretty sure my brother's name wasn't Yuki," she smirked.

Yuki smiled. "On the plus side - anyone who instantly knows I'm a fake is worth you questioning..."
He moved a little closer to her and put his hand on her shoulder softly. "Are you ok with me... being... your brother?" he said as if his pretending to be that person could somehow be an insult...

Oki shrugged. "Technically you're being my husband, or else we're a really messed up set of twins. But I get what you mean and no, I don't mind. I don't remember him at all, so how can I? I'm sure he was just like all brothers and we fought like cats and dogs all the time. He'd pull my hair and then I'd bite him and we'd both go crying to my mother."

Yuki smiled. "Didn't we just finish saying something about taking it slow? And here we are, rushing into marriage," he said with a laugh, and put up his small luggage parcel as well.
The train started giving a few whistles, and soon they were starting to move quickly out of the station. "Ready for a long trip?" Yuki asked as he sat down on the wide bench seat...

"Yup!" Oki replied, swinging her legs up onto the seat opposite. "I'm getting myself comfy now. And at least the trip will give us time to get to know one another since we're now Mr. and Mrs. Yuki Itsuka."
