Oki smiled and hugged the girl.
"Thanks, imooto-chan. But if you ever need or want anything from me, you say the word, okay? You're not half as much trouble as some boys are!"

Holding the bag in one hand, Kira happily returned the hug. Ever so softly she spoke while holding onto the older girl. All I would want is for you not to be hurt anymore... but I know that it won't happen... so Oki-senpai... will you promise me something?

Looking up at Oki, Kira blushed before looking as stern as should could, remembering how her mother used to look at her sometimes. I don't like you being hurt, Oki-senai... so... I want you to promise me that next time you get hurt that you'll see a healer
For a moment Kira's eyes flashed in hard determination I will not let you die like Mommy did... I will give you that promise in return...

Oki hugged Kira again, tightly.
"I promise, imooto-chan. I will see a healer the next time I get hurt. I saw one this time, and they saw to the worst of my injuries. I guess I'm just stubborn in that I don't like the way the healing techniques leave me tingling all over so I didn't let the heal all of them. But don't worry about me, okay? Missions can be dangerous, and I accepted that the day I started training to become a ninja. Some times there are risks involved int he things we want the most."
And some times there are hurts that there is no way to heal, Oki thought, but she left it unsaid.

Sighing softly, Kira relaxed her body against Oki, she liked being held by the other girl. Her father never held her anymore, no matter how many times she asked and there was no one else she knew of that would do such a thing. Having Oki hold her meant a lot more then she was willing to tell the other girl.
There was something off about Oki though, something that she noticed the first day, it had taken a while but eventually Kira had realized what it was. Who hurt you so badly, Oki-senpai? What is it that you hide from me? Maybe when I'm older you'll let me know what happened...
Pulling back slightly Kira smiled lightly, trying to break out of the mood she had put herself in. Thank you, Oki-senpai, that's all that I could ask for...

Oki smiled.
"Good. Then how be we get to class now and get you settled in before the rest of your classmates arrive?"

Nodding happily Kira once again took the other's hand she knew that once the others showed up that Oki would have to help them and wanted the older girl to herself for as long as she could have her. Giggling softly Kira pulled the older girl down the hallway before remembering that she didn't know where to go and blushed brightly

Oki laughed as the girl pulled her along, then gently guided her into a classroom on the left of the hall. It was empty, with the sun just starting to shine in through the large windows. Oki walked down the stairs and down to the front of the room, checking to make sure that the class list was there and that there was chalk for the blackboard.
"Here it is!" she said brightly.

Giggling at Oki-senpai Kira happily took a spot as close to the front as she could, she put her bag down and looked around the room. It was just like an older girl told her it would be. Sitting down, Kira smiled When do you think the others will show up?

Oki seated herself on the tab;e at the front of the room and smiled.
"Oh, I'd say in about half an hour. Class will start shortly after that. The morning will be spent getting you all situated and introducing you to the academy, telling you what it means to be a ninja, and then we'll break for lunch. In the after noon, you'll watch some demonstraions to see some of the things you'll learn some day in action."

Oki laughed. "My! Aren't you the eager student? No, love, there won't be a test today. Class is structured to treat all students the same, and some of your classmates won't know anything since there are no ninjas in their family. Since it wouldn't be fair to those students, classes are set up to assume no one knows anything, but the students who do know will excel if they study hard, and their classmates who really don't know have the chance to learn along side them."

Nodding her head, Kira sighed in relief at the fact that there would be no test yet. Although her father did work as ninja he never really explained anything to her, things just were as they were nothing else. So it won't matter that Father didn't explain things?

"Not at all," Oki smiled. "I didn't have parents to explain anything to me, so I came here knowing nothing. But I turned out alright in the end. Just don't be shy to ask questions if you don't understand something, and you'll do just fine."
