Oki smiled and nodded, rising from her chair. Quickly performing her hand seals, she called out "Transform!" and was obscured by smoke. When it cleared, another Kakashi stood casually perusing a copy of "Make-Out Paradise." Without waiting for a response, the book was closed and tucked under his arm and the process was repeated. When the smoke cleared for the second time, a tall muscular man with neatly trimmed blond hair and a beard stood beside the chair, smiling softly. He was no one from the village, an insignia over her left breast pocket marking him as being from somewhere within the Water Country.

The three of them inspected the transformations - they were impressive, though they had no idea who the second man was, one could only assume it was Oki's father, probably from a photograph - and the skill in transforming into a person with only a picture to go on was impressive...
Tsunaded nodded. "You may sit back down, Oki," she said, and scribbled a few more notes on Oki's file. "One final question, do you feel confident in your ability to explain jutsus such as this, and answer questions about your techniques?"

Oki allowed the transformation to dissipate and took her seat again with a nod.
"I do, very much so," she replied. She was beginning to have an inkling where this was going and she shoot a quick, questioning look to Iruka.

Iruka was unable to react to Oki's question, he recieved a nod from Tsunade instead. He almost jumped to see one of his students do so well.
"Oki... We'd like to offer you a..."
"Provisional," Kakashi interupted...
"Provisional," Iruka continued, "position at the academy. You would mostly be floating to where you are needed, but you would also be one of three primary teachers for the youth classes..."

Oki beamed, looking from Iruka to Kakashi and to Tsunade before looking back to Iruka. The "provisional" part didn't seem to matter. She was going to teach!
"Really? You want me to help with the youth classes? I... I'd be honoured!"

Tsunade was the first to speak again from the interviewing trio.
"You will still be expected to complete missions when they come up for you," she cautioned Oki. "But yes, you will be teaching. Iruka has brought it to our attention that you had been helping out already, and that you have already bonded with several of the children. This is his doing, so you can thank him..."
Tsunade closed the folder and put it back on a stack behind her. "If you don't mind now, Kakashi and I have other matters to discuss..."
"Come on," Iruka said, starting to head out of the office...

Oki nodded. "Of course. Thank you! Thank you so much!"
She stood and followed Iruka out of the office, waiting until the door was closed behind them before throwing her arms around Iruka with a delighted laugh.
"Thank you, Iruka! You have no idea what this means to me!"

Iruka, somewhat bashfully laughed, a slight pinkness rising to his cheeks to give Oki a small hug back. "I didn't figure there was much point of you teaching if you weren't being recognised for it, and... I assumed you could handle a class on your own..."

"I won't let you down, Iruka!" she beamed. "I did learn from the best, after all. She chose the henge technique intentionally, didn't she? I remember how much trouble I used to have with it when I was a student."

Iruka smiled. "You said it yourself, it is the most difficult of the E-rank jutsus..."
Iruka started to dig in the pockets of his Chuunin vest. "Here you go," he said happily, holding out a key to the academy to Oki - it had keys for the building, the teacher's lounge, and one with a number on it, which would be Oki's classroom...

Oki took the keys, still beaming, and tucked them into her pocket.
"I can't believe this is happening so soon. I thought I'd have to pass the chuunin exam before I'd be able to do this," Oki mused. "You must have had some high praise for me, Iruka."

Iruka reassured her a little. "They said it was provisional..." But the smile on his face suggested that yes, he did give her quite the reference for the position...
Not to ruin the moment, he had to explain to her a little further. "We've had to have a few genin helping out here and there - there just have been too many missions to keep juunins and chuunins in the village long enough to teach the classes... And... With our..." he had to search for a word, "special ed. teacher gone... We really needed the help. You were the perfect person as far as I could reason..."

Oki nodded. "Will there be someone to cover me if I get sent off on a mission? They, ah, have a tendency to get complicated," she said nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. She was thinking of the last one, about how simple it should have been if it hadn't been for the Sand nins...

"When you have missions, yes," Iruka said. "We all pitch in, so one of us will take your class for the day or two as well. Since you'll be teaching, you shouldn't expect to get assigned too many, really complicated missions - we won't want you out of the village for too long at a time. Most of your missions will probably still be in the fire country as well..."

Oki sighed with relief.
"That's good to hear, Iruka. Even the simple things have been overly complicated lately. This should hopefully put things back into perspective."
