Oki wasn't pleased to see how agile Suoh was. He flowed from one movement into another effortlessly, it seemed almost without thought. How was she supposed to hit him if she couldn't get in close enough? She tried while his back was turned to land a blow between his shoulder blades.

Oki was right, but not right enough, Yuki thought. Suoh was doing it effortlessly, and without thought. That was Oki's deficit in this fight, she was still thinking. She had to rely on her senses and just go. Suoh was always going to be one step ahead of her until she learned that. Of course, having her full speed and ballance back without the ankle weights would help as well... but it wasn't all of it...

Suoh waited until Oki was close enough to lash out with a leg and knock hers out from under her. As she hit the ground, her was on top of her, pinning her arms down.
"Sloppy, sis. Very sloppy," he tutted, kissing her forehead lightly. "You're dead."

"Oki" dissolved into water at Suoh's kiss, leaving him clutching nothing as the soil beneath him turned to mud. When he started in surprise, Oki plowed into him from the side with a snarl and the two tumbled over one another in the muck which prevented Suoh from gaining sound footing.

Yuki's smile broadened exponentially. 'Oki 2, Suoh 0,' he again thought to himself. She was learning something... but it was not everything, not yet... She had leveled the playing field for herself, which was a start...

Suoh whooped and pulled Oki tight against him in a bear hug as he came to rest on his back.
"Good work, Ok! I wondered if you were going to stop playing by the rules!"
Smirking, he smeared a trail of mud down the length of Oki's nose.

"You're such a jerk," Oki replied, pushing herself up and away from Suoh. She tried to wipe at the mud on her nose with the back of her hand, but that only smeared more of it across her face. She grimaced, trying to shake some of it from her hands and arms.
"Ugh, it's everywhere..."

Seconds later, the two of them would find themselves in a downpour of rain, but with no clouds above them at all. Yuki had placed the book back in his bag and stood up. He simply liquified the air above them and allowed it to fall. For once, at least with Yuki, it wasn't freezing rain. His mouth was still open, perpetuating the jutsu to wash the mud off of them, but neither would hear the sound he was using...

"Oh don't be such a girl," Suoh teased, still sitting in the rain. "Have a hot bath when you get home, soak the ache out. Live a little!"

"Thanks, Yuki," Oki said, wiping off the worst of the mud. Suoh's idea of living didn't appeal to her very much at all apart from the hot bath. That sounded like a little bit of heaven, she decided as she bent down to remove the ankle weights.

Yuki closed his mouth, and a few seconds later, the rain dissipated.
"I'm don't know about you Suoh... But I'm impressed," he said. "By my count, that was, Oki 2, Suoh 0," he said with a laugh...
Yuki looked to the side, somewhat surprized to see that Ikihane was flying towards them...

"She's got a long way to go, but there's plenty there to work with," Suoh admitted. "Once she complains less she'll progress faster."

Oki followed Yuki's gaze and smirked when she saw Ikihane. Suoh was just going to love this...
"You expecting news, Yuki?" Oki asked as the hawk came closer.

"No," Yuki said questioningly as he raised his hand for the hawk to land.
Politely, Yuki introduced the hawk to Suoh. "Souh, you met Koikihane. This is his grandson, Ikihane," he said and turned his attention to the hawk.
"Ebisu summoned me," the hawk explained. "He has been sent away on a mission. Your instructions are to continue your readings tonight and practice the summoning techniques for the afternoon. I am to report back to Ebisu with your progress when he returns." He turned his head. "Pleased," he said with a little bow to Souh, "and, always a pleasure," he said bowing to Oki as well...

"Yeah, sure," Suoh said uncomfortably, waving to the hawk. What was with these people and birds?
