Kaliri arched an eyebrow at Yuki. She didn't have time for over-sensitive men with more brawn and mouth than brain.
"You done?" She asked acidly. "For your information, we're doing -exactly- what I told you. Just because it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it's not true." She broke off, mumbling about pompous fools as she turned and headed into the shadows of the academy buildings, turning her back directly on the other two.
"Mind your own business" She snapped.

lenore cringed, looking up pleadingly at Yuki.
"I'm sorry for her... she's... not quite herself lately." She turned around quickly, and called out to Kaliri.
"Wait! Kaliri! That was... SO inappropriate..." She started to rush towards the other girl, reaching out to tug on her sleeve as she hurried towards the buildings across the street.

It didn't leave much room for conversation... But of all the things Yuki considered himself talented at, minding his own business was anything but one of those things... He unsummoned the hawk from his arm, and in another blink of an eye, he himself vanished from sight, following the two women to see what they were up to...

Kaliri viciously shook Lenore's arm from her own. She spun around, bringing the taller girl into her sights. She gave her a cursory and warning look, before slowly turning around and retreating back towards the buildings her sights were set on. Who did Lenore think she was fooling?
"We don't have time to play with friends. If I can't figure out how to get down there, then all our plans have to come to s a screeching halt. in light of the events lately, do you think we can afford that?" She sneered back over her shoulder.

Lenore's eyes went wide with understanding. She fell in beside the younger, walking quietly for a moment, trying to decide how best to say what was on her mind.
As they passed the front of the Academy buildings and headed around to the rear entrances, Lenore spoke in a quiet voice.
"You know... we don't know you're the last Okanei." She tried to say it gently, but there was no soft way around it. She hurried on before Kaliri could have a chance to interrupt. "And even if you are. If you can't remember now how to do it, it doesn't mean it's lost forever." She tried to comfort the girl, but the words sounded hollow, even to her.

Now this really was interesting... Yuki stood across the veil watching the interaction between the two of them. Where exactly were they trying to get down to? Yuki knew how he could do it, wherever 'there' was, but the little mouthy one was going to have to ask really damn nice now for his help...

kaliri seemed to miss a step and stumble a bit, but she gritted her teeth, balling her hands into fists at her side and kept walking. Tears sprang to her eyes and she wiped viciously at them before shoving her hands back at her sides. When she spoke, her voice was equal parts anger and desperation.
"If I don't find a way, no one else will. And it seems I have your family to thank for that." She lashed at Lenore with the words, storming off ahead through the doorway, keeping her pace down the halls of the school.

Lenore winced again, the pain in her expression showing the effectiveness of Kaliri's words. Still, she did not falter her pace. She came up behind Kaliri, her stride easily overcoming the distance. With one swift movement, she let herself fall forward, her arms wrapping around Kaliri's shoulders. She stopped lifting her feet, letting her weight fall on the smaller girl. She kept well enough control of herself not to drag them both down, but added her weight to the resistance Kaliri would have to fight through to move.
"I'm so sorry that happened, Kishnei. We did all that we could..." there were tears in Lenore's eyes, as well, but she didn't bother to wipe them away. "I wish I could have spared you all that you discovered..." She cleared her throat in what proved to be a vain attempt to get rid of the lump that had formed. "But please, don't take it out on everyone around you. I don't want to see you locked in with your own bitterness. I know how that feels, and I know how it can isolate you. Take your anger to me, if you must, but don't push everyone away from you."
