Mrs. Harmony was already outside and working on transplanting her flowers from the ancient window boxes that Yuki was apparently about to replace, and as soon as she noticed them, she turned and waved.
Yuki couldn't wave, holding onto the barrow, but shook his head. "I told her I'd take care of that as well... She'll never stop. I had to force her to stay off the roof when I did it by locking the bottom of the latter in a sheet of ice so she couldn't come up..."

Oki smiled and returned Mrs. Harmony's wave.
"Leave her to me. I'll do my best to keep her busy inside so she doesn't over do it by trying to help you with the window boxes. Do you want me to give you a hand with the flowers before I go inside?"

Yuki smiled. "Looks like she's got most of them already. I hope she doesn't drive you crazy, but if she does, just give me a signal, and I'll call in and ask you for help with something..."

Oki quirked a brow and looked at Yuki skeptically. "Her? Drive me crazy? Yuki, you're talking to the girl who just spent the last four years traveling with Kurado. I put up with peanut butter, his rants about parrots, and his need to name just about everything 'Bob'. I think I can handle Mrs. Harmony for a few hours."

"I hope so," Yuki said in that -whatever I'm planning will take at least that long- kind of voice...
"Good morning Mrs. Harmony. I've managed to find Oki as well, like you asked. Now, you know you shouldn't be out here, I told you I'd take care of everything..."
Mrs. harmony held out her arms and hugged Yuki as soon as he put the tools down. "Of course you will dear... We'll leave you to it..."
She held out her arms to hug Oki as well. "Us girls have our work in the kitchen, don't we..."

Oki smiled and hugged her. "We sure do! If you want me to feed him, you'll have to teach me to cook half as well as you do."
She waved to Yuki as Mrs. Harmony led her inside. "Good luck with the flower boxes!"

"Oh, Deary... He's a growing boy... He'll eat a horse if you put it on a plate," she said with a laugh and led Oki inside.
"I hope you don't find it degrading... but my poor old back just won't let me do it anymore more..." she said, pointing to the oven, the cleaning products already on the floor beside it. "I'm sure Yuki has already told you this is a paying job..."

"I wouldn't dream of taking your money, Mrs. Harmony. I'm just glad to be out and able to do something useful. Besides, " Oki said, kneeling down on the floor, pulling the oven open. "I've had so much practice cleaning lately that I'm practically a professional!"
She smiled and winked before she started looking over the cleaning products and reading the instructions.

"Who said anything about money darling?" Mrs. Harmony answered, and returned to her counter when she began to spread cream cheese into a pan, whipping up some chocolate sauce as well. "A little bird told me that you liked my cheesecake," she said with a wink...

Oki groaned with pleasure at the memory, then began to spray down the inside of the oven. "Mrs. Harmony, 'like' just doesn't do your cheesecake justice. I would walk to all four corners of the earth and back for it, it's so good!"

The old woman smiled softly. "You're lucky that my oven isn't trying to run away and you only had to walk here," she said with a laugh. "Though, a little bird seems to be whispering that my cheesecake isn't the only thing around these parts you fancy," she said looking out the window to where Yuki was already running boards through a table saw to get the propper width for the boxes...

Oki followed her gaze and blushed lightly. "Yuki's a good friend. I don't kno whim as well as I'd like to, but now that I'm home I can work to change that."

Mrs. Harmony slid a cup of tea beside Oki. "I recognise that blush from my own childhood," she said, grabbing a cup for herself as well. "I would say you know everything you need to at this point, and are just looking for excuses now... Or have things changed so much since I was young," she said with a chuckle...

Oki thanked her for the tea and sat back on her heels while the spray settled. She took a sip of the tea.
"It's a bit more... complicated than that. I mean, he's got a good heart and we have fun together, but he's a bit of a show off. I guess I've just never really felt like more than eye-candy for him when we were younger, and we've both changed so much in the last four years. There's a lot to get to know."

Mrs. Harmony laughed. "No one who wasn't a show off would wear a shirt like that dear," she said and continued to watch as Yuki cut the lumber... "But still, that just means he's willing to show you off as well, and treat you like a prize he has to continue to win. It's not perfect, but better than many alternatives...
