"I didn't even know it was here until today, Fuk. So no, I wouldn't know about any of that although I suspect there's a story to be told. C'mon, you can tell me while we work."

Fukurou thought about it. "I'm affraid... It's a story I'm not sure I 'can' tell to you, Ms. Oki. In truth, I fear it would drive our relationship appart. But I will not decline your offer if it is still available..."

Oki smiled and nodded. "Of course it is. I'm not about to revoke it just because a story's not yours to tell."
To prove her point, Oki took up the broom and began to attack the cobwebs that had gathered in the corners of the ceiling.

Fukurou watched her and angonised over his descision to remain silent on this. But last time he had said anything, it had caused her to run off in tears, and he couldn't do that to her again. Baoh knew this house for the same reason Fukurou did - it belonged to Otomeken, but Oki didn't need to know that for now... He thought about this so long he had forgotten he was here for a reason, and he jerked out of his thoughts and grabbed the bed clothes to take them out and wash them in a basin...

Oki worked systematically with the broom, starting at the highest points of the walls and working her way down to dislodge as much of the dust as she could. They'd need to be scrubbed down later, she though, but they were passable for the time being. The cabin was going to take a lot of work, though.
"Fukurou, have you been staying here since Baoh took Ruu and Kitsi back to my place?"

"Not inside," he said from outside where he was pouring the water into the basin from a pump well. "It didn't seem right..."
He didn't have enough foresight to tell Oki not to look behind the curtain that seperated the tiny one room cabin in half... Where Otomeken kept all of her clothes...

The clothing came as a shock when Oki pulled the curtain back to say the least. Now she knew the cabin had been recently inherited, and suspected it had been left in a hurry. She lifted a pair of panties gingerly with one finger.
"Fukurou! I had no idea you had such exquisite taste in women's underwear!" she called over her shoulder.

"In women's underware?" Fukurou asked, and then realized what was going on. He raced in and pulled the curtain back into place. "Perhaps... Ms. Oki," he said a little frightened, "this section should remain as it was left..."

Oki was trying very hard not to laugh, and she had one hand clamped firmly over her mouth. That, however didn't keep her shoulders from shaking and the panties were still hanging from her finger even though the curtain was now closed. She wasn't sure what he was so flustered about, but she thought it was adorable.

"The person, who those belong to, will return here... I think they would appreciate their private things not being sifted through," Fukurou said, looking away so that he would have to see the panties drapped from Oki's finger. While all the clothes were clean behind that curtain, they were very much in disarray and in need of straightening up, just to put them back in their shelves if nothing else...

"Would you like me to straighten them up for her?" Oki offered. "That way you don't have to go through it all since it seems to make you uncomfortable."

Fukurou thought for a second. Perhaps having them straightened up was in order... But if Otomeken found out who Fukurou had allowed in her house to do it... Or maybe she wouldn't care at all... "Very well," he said in a low voice. He started to head back out to continue with the wash...

Oki chuckled a little, completely misreading Fukurou's discomfort as she pulled the curtain back and began folding clothes. What was it with men being so uncomfortable around women's clothing? It was never a problem when it was worn, or if he were the one responsible for removing it and tossing to to the floor out of the way. But leave it clean in a pile somewhere? It became the AntiChrist.

Fukurou may have been an exception to even that though. Fukurou, in his ways would have been the exact opposite. Leave a pile on the floor, he would normally be fine with it, it would have been a panic attack if he were asked to remove it from a woman.
He finished what he was doing, hung the laundry, and returned back inside, ignoring the curtain, and began to clean the rest of the dishes that he hadn't gotten to when he had cooked here for Baoh...

Busy hands meant contentment for Oki. It was one of the reasons her own apartment was always so clean. She she folded and sorted clothing, her mind shut itself off from the task at hand, her eyes barely taking in which article of clothing she was folding. It was an autopilot function, and suited her fine. As she worked, she hummed softly to herself.
