All around Yuki were trees with kunai burried in them so deep that only the last couple of inches of the handles were showing. On closer inspection, anyone would see that these kunai had not been stabbed into them, but somehow, simply placed there, like they, having the denser structure, simply overtook the tree's place of being...
One tree, however, seemed unscathed in this area, and Yuki was slowly backing away, being very careful it would seem, to make no sounds what so ever...

Oki was preoccupied with psyching herself up. She was going to try summoning on her own today, and she told herself that it was going to work. She was going to get a big cat today instead of one of the cubs. She had been studying hard, and she could recite the theory from memory now. She had found some useful scrolls at the academy and had poured over those hour hours; it had given her something constructive to do.
Yup! She was totally going to do it today! She was going to summon Mine, and it was going to be great!
Oki stopped short when she saw Yuki from across the field. Of course he had to be there.

Rather than using his jutsu to create a wall or anything of the sort, Yuki was actually tip-toeing backwards towards a wall of ice a little ways behind him that had already been constructed. It was like he too was trying to avoid being noticed by someone in front of him that he had just seen, and was fully concentrated on that, rather than who was noticing him from the other side...

Oki stopped where she was and rather than stand and watch she turned so that she faced the opposite direction. It was a big filed. There was no reason why they couldn't both use it...

Yuki managed to get behind the wall of ice, still not taking his concentration off of the tree he seemed to be sneaking out of...
He counted to three, and then gave a sharp whistle... An explosion, only a few seconds later, ripped through the area, sending shards of the tree into the ice wall Yuki had built, but it didn't go much further out than the area Yuki was practicing in by himself...

Oki hadn't been expecting the explosion. She had just begun to focus her chakra when it happened and it startled her. She yelped, crouching down and throwing her hands protectively up over her head instinctively.

At the high-pitched yelp of Oki's, there was a second explosion that completly took Yuki off guard... He had just stood back up, and had to quickly shift before flying debrit hit him in the face...
He came back across the veil and turned to see who the hell could be out here. When he saw Oki, he froze... He had no idea what to do...
Behind him, his ice wall was in tatters, and two trees had been reduced to rubble...

Oki flinched when the second explosion went off, but she was more prepared this time. She was turning around to peer over her shoulder before the debris had stopped falling. What the hell was he doing?

Yuki looked over at Oki as the rest of the splinters and and chunks of tree fell around him... "Oki... I... Didn't expect to see you here..." It was one of the most awkward sentences Yuki had ever said...

"Yeah, me either," she replied uncomfortably. "Look, I'm sorry to disturb you. I figured I could just keep out of your way and get some training in. I didn't figure you'd be trying to wreck the place."

Yuki shifted uneasily. "I was trying out a new technique... Trying to pair it up with an old one... I... I can just leave you to train on your own... This would just be distracting to you and... I wouldn't want to risk you getting hurt in one of the explosions..."
Yuki took off his glasses and pretended to clean them on his pant leg, just trying to avoid looking right at her for right now...

"No, no." She said quickly. "You were here first. I'll-I'll go find somewhere else to work. it's not like there's a shortage of them or anything." Oki, too had looked away as she stood up. She had very little desire to work on her summoning now.

"No... Oki... It was stupid to try to test out a technique like this in such a public area... You go ahead with your training... I'll go up to the mountains or something outside of Konoha..." Yuki started picking up what Kunai he had left and packing them into a bag, and then moved over to a cube of ice, touching it very carefully as if it might explode as well...

"It's a big field, Yuki. I'll just move further down. It's fine." Oki began to take a tentative step further downt he field. This felt wrong. There was too much tension.

Yuki shouldered the bag. "No... Oki... I said I'd stay out of your hair until you were ready to see me again... I will..." He started walking off as well. "Take care Oki... Please..."
