Oki turned back to watch Yuki, still cuddling the kitten. "You know, I'm surprised you left it here," she mused. "Ebisu must not have been gone long when I got here."

Yuki smirked. "Long enough..." Yuki said. "But I was still tied up when you got here..." He shrugged, still working at pulling the rope back through itself. "It's minding it's own business though... Not REALLY bugging me..."
This wasn't working... Yuki got another idea, and started forcing more chakra to only two specific parts to increase their almost magnetic push on one another. When he did it, one end of the loop practically jumped away from the knot and the ropes fell to a limp state, hanging off of Yuki's arms. He pulled his hands apart, and it fell to the floor...

Oki smiled. "Good job! I guess that means it's time for the little one to go."
She gave the kitten a tickle beneath the chin as she started for the stairs. "I'll be back, and then we'll see how you handle some more complicated knots."

"Let him stay," Yuki said, probably going to regret it, but Oki seemed to like the company, and it was making her more comfortable at least. She wasn't focused on Yuki's feelings for her when she had the cat to occupy her mind, so Yuki could put up with his skin crawling for a little while longer at least...

Oki shook her head as she started up the stairs and called back, "Nope! I promised."
She opened the bookcase and deposited the kitten lightly on the floor. "Stay out of the potted plants," she warned it, unsure if Ebisu even had potted plants. She pulled the bookcase closed behind her so the kitten couldn't sneak back down and surprise Yuki later and came back down the stairs.

Yuki was exactly where she'd left him. Despite trying to be nice, he was glad the thing was out of there... "If we're still playing kindergarten, you're going to have to find a different kind of reward now that the cat's gone," he teased tossing her the rope and waiting for his next instruction....

Oki caught the rope the rope with a smirk. "I know I'm going to regret asking, because I suspect I already know, but what did you have in mind?"

Yuki gave that confident smirk again. "Let's see how complex you make this knot, and then I'll give you my suggestion," he said, holding his hands out in front of himself again...

Oki smirked and walked over, then pulled one of Yuki's arms around behind his back. "Is that a challenge?" she purred.

Yuki looked back over his shoulder at Oki. He liked the smile on her lips. "Only if you're not too scared to take it..." he intoned, wondering if he could do this, not being able to look at the knot while he worked at it...

Oki was about to reply smartly. She loved banter like this, and Yuki had taken a shot at her pride when he asked if she was scared. She was excited, not scared. But she was falling into exactly what she had the last time.
"I should probably tell you that Baoh and I are working things out," she said softly, tying his hands behind him.

Yuki's face fell and he looked forward again, letting his shoulders slump and relax. He had to concentrate on his breathing to take slow and steady breaths. He was fighting saying anything at all at the moment. It was very difficult for him, especially this time, not to say anything and he bit down on his lip hard enough to draw blood, trying to take his mind away from that...

"I'm sorry," she said softly. Why did this hurt so much? "I just... didn't want to lead you on..."

Yuki maintained his silence, simply because he'd promised to keep his nose out of Oki and Baoh's business. He stepped one step forward when Oki finished the knot and it instantly glowed with Chakra, flying appart, piece by piece as the knot, loop by loop untied itself. Yuki wasn't even paying attention to what he was doing. He'd feel the knot by cocking his hand back, and then one more part would come undone, and he just kept repeating it... It all seemed pointless now...

"Holy crap," Oki murmured as Yuki made short work of the knot. "So much for needing me to teach you..."
