Lenore nodded to herself, satisfied Yuki was nearby, and she started mumbling a string of mantric incantations she used during meditation. changing a word slightly here and there, she focused her energy forward. Slowly, the ribbon on the kunai started to rise. Though loosely held, the ribbon managed to stay nearly vertical. Lenore frowned, her eyes remaining closed a,d she leaned forward from the waist slightly. As her efforts redoubled, the flow of the air in front of her tightened. As beads of sweat stood out on her forehead, the ribbon straightened out, the free end crackling now in the air, as opposed to snapping languidly from side to side.
Lenore started to shake slightly, and only a few moments after she tightened the flow of air around the black silk, her concentration broke and she lurched forward. her hands went to the groud to steady her as she panted. A slightly pleased smile spread across her face, and she looked up at Yuki in almost triumph. "That's the first time I've ever been able to change the force of the tunnel." She grinned.

Yuki didn't know if she was looking for praise from him or not, but he couldn't give it. He remained his normal expressionless self and gave a single nod. "This is the jutsu that you've begun to have an affinity for then?"

Lenore stared harder at Yuki for a moment. Then she realized that he couldn't possibly understand the significance of this.
"Yuki, old friend..." She started patiently. "This means that not only am I discovering that I can use jutsu, after years off believing that this would be impossible for me, but it also means that there's manyothers like me, who haven't discovered yet what they can do. My homeland is filled with people who... have trained much like I have. If they've been using these all along without knowing it..."

"I am glad you are achieving that which you want," Yuki said. He apparently didn't understand the significance of it at all. All over the world there were people who could use jutsu, and those who suddenly did without comprehending or fathoming what had just happened. What sepperated a ninja for those people was the understanding of what they were doing, and the strive to achieve more...

Lenore rolled her eyes and grinned slightly, though her body still shook with exhaustion. "it tells us three things. First, that there is a pocket of people who have been training with chakra their whole lives without knowing it. The significance of this is that they are already trained for warfare, and have the desire to hunt our enemies, but have no idea that they can do that. They wish to aid us, but none of us knows what they're capable of, yet. Allies in such times are not without worth. Secondly, since we have never used jutsu that I've seen happening around here, until just now, it means that there are possibly many combat-related jutsu laying dormant in the minds of these people. A wealth of aid for us, for Konoha, for the world without the snake-man.
"And finally, it tells us that my sister, wherever she is, can use these too, but we don't know weather or not she knows of them. But this means that the snake-man, too, knows she can use them, by now. He too will have seen what I see. He too, will look to discover the full extent of their abilities..." She let that sink in for a moment, the ramifications on all sides.

Yuki shook his head. "You really have been gone for a long time, haven't you?" He sighed. "What you've just demonstrated is basically the blood limit of my rival. And... Orochimaru, the 'snake man' as you call him... Has already been killed. Enemies at this point, are blessedly few and far between..."

Lenore blinked, a pure wave of shock passing over her. The snake man had died? Why had she not seen that? What had become of her sister? Lenore was irritated, and scowled down at the ground.
"Well, I've been out of touch for two years." She snapped. Just as she did so, her eyes slid closed and she took a deep breath. She shook still, though weather from irritation or exhaustion, even she couldn't tell. She opened her eyes again, only a moment later, and whispered. "I'm sorry for that." She offered no other explanation, and sat staring at the kunai in the ground, thinking.

"You're low on chakra after that. You need to eat to get your strength back," Yuki said, ignoring the appology and what it was for.

Lenore nodded to herself, gathering the ribbon and tying her hair back again. Tucking the kunai safely into her pouch again, she braced her hands against the wall and pushed herself to her shaky feet.
"I'm not picky, I'll eat whatever we come across first, most likely." She offered, her mind still halfway in her musings. "Mammal, fish, or fowl?" She asked, trying to determine the direction.

Yuki pointed to a restraunt. "I'm sure you can find whichever of the three you prefer there," he said starting to walk in that direction, slowly so she could follow...
Yuki walked in and chose a booth, slipping into one side and begining to peruse the menu..

Lenore looked nervously around the booth, eying the setup uneasily before slipping in across from Yuki. She flipped open the menu for a moment, if only to flick a lazy glance over the writing. She picked something randomly, and then flicked the menu closed again, glancing around and scanning the area around her for any unfriendliness.
"So, how was he killed?" Lenore asked, assuming she didn't need to explain who 'he' was.

Yuki took a minute to choose and ordered when the waitress came.
"Sasuke... Apparently," he said. "Found there was nothing more he could learn from him, and rather than become a tool for Orochimaru to consume, killed his teacher..."

Lenore frowned down at the tabletop. "And... we're absolutely certain he's dead?" She asked, grasping now, and she knew it.

Yuki nodded once definitively. "And Neeva has been captured, Iosora has been killed, Takara has returned to the village - despite the fact that she never wants to so much as hear my name again... And Otomeken and Akira have, mostly, successfully survived a civil war over seas and are back as well..."

Lenore nodded, only two of those names having any kind of meaning. She frowned at the tabletop a while more, concern painted across her features. Within a few moments, though, her face wiped blank and the smile returned, if only to her lips.
"Well, then I suppose we have nothing more to fear, for the time being." She paused a beat before continuing, choosing to nix the smile for a more serious expression. "And I'm sorry about the girl. Takara? Whatever happened, I'm sorry."
