Yuki didn't really seem to like the idea of pussy-footing around this. "The dark side of... umm.. poetry, you say. Would you care to elaborate, or should I just question those two instead?"

Lenore winced at the idea of that blank sunglassed stare meeting tiny Kaliri's pitifully inadequate social defences. "It just means.... there was a.... poem.... and I had no idea what it meant, and then, out of nowhere, an issue I'd been tailing for a while, shows up, and they helped me to ..... redirect it. When all was said and done, without knowing it, they kind of.... paraphrased the poem.... look, it's not something I'd like to talk about here inthe street... "She glanced around at the people passing by. "Plagurism, and all that...." She muttered to herself.

Yuki reached out and grabbed the fabric of her shoulder and suddenly, the world around them changed. Things that were solid only a few seconds ago seemed to be ghost-like in their rigidity and flowing with winds that could only be heard and not felt. Nothing seemed tangible except the two of them. Everything else was dark, and vaporous. "Ok, now we're alone. So tell me..."

Lenore blinked. She looked at the world around them. Suddenly, she was hit hard in the stomach and her head was reeling. She saw Yuki standing like this on a mountain, looking out over the village, and behind him, a woman bathed in fire crept up on him. All Yuki would be able to tell was that Lenore had cried out, grabbde her head, and her eyes had grown out of focus. She seemed to look around in a trance, seeing through things instead of actually seeing them. She whispered, "Firewalker. Watch your back, Yuki-san."

Yuki raised that eyebrow again, knowing full well there was nothing else on this side of the veil for him to watch out for. "And who's this firewalker?" he started probing her, trying to get whatever information he could out of what he assumed was a day-dream...

In Lenore's mind, Yuki spun and faced the woman in fire. She turned and fled. Yuki tried to follow her for a time, until Otomeken fell across his path. There in the footpath, she began to disintegrate as a poison ate her from the inside. She saw a woman with a cat on her shoulder, and a cat at her feet, gently lay a hand on Yuki, and he absently patted his hand on his skin near where hers was. In the place Yuki was, Lenore looked as though she was confused, but still not focusing properly. The vision began to fade, and then the woman of fire walked back down the path, flanked on one side by Kumori, and on the other by Kaliri. Kaliri was crying, and wreathed in a blinding white light. Kumori had blood gushing down his face, and was wrapped in shadow. Lenore knew now who the woman of fire was. All four of them looked off to the edge of the mountain and out over the village, and the poison that ate Otomeken started to crawl over it. From the western edge of the village, emerged Lauja, and on the Eastern edge, and a man who gave the impression of being a snake. He walked with the grace thereof, and had the palest skin, the darkest hair, and eyes that had slits for pupils, mirroring that of the jungle snakes. They raised their arms, up, towards the sun, and it darkened. The Four on the mountain threw themselves down over the edge, followed by the countless shadows of other children from the village. They ran and jumped, closer to where the killing would begin. In the center, as the countless started dying, clear as day, in a light of sickly green and red, walked Otomeken, unscathed, and laughing; terrible, menacing, and cruel. Where Yuki could hear, all Lenore said was "and the hope of the future is the children. And this war belongs to them." Her eyes started to clear, and she looked around at this eerie place, the mirror to that of her vision, and tried to order her thoughts. All of this took a span of maybe forty seconds, and she was blinking up at Yuki, her eyes accusing. "What did you do that for? There were simpler ways of getting us somewhere we could talk!" She put her thumb and finger on either side of the bridge of her nose. "Now I'll have a headache for a week!"

Yuki arched his brow. "This is the simplist way I know.... and you still haven't started talking... What war, what are you talking about?" Yuki asked, having no idea what little day dream she had just awoken from...

"I don't know.... but it involves you, and my friends, so I don't like it." Lenore looked off into the distance, searching the vision, trying to find helpful hints.

Yuki remained silent for a moment, allowing her to concentrate and try to remember. He didn't want to disturb her thought process and kill any memory of her day dream, especially when she said that he was involved in it...

Lenore thought a few more moments, then suddenly became present to the world around her again. She realized that she'd left Yuki in somewhat of an awkward silence. She smiled at him, a little sheepishly. "So....... what was it you were going to ask?"

"What are you? Otomeken? Suddenly go int some sort of trance, spout off a bunch of non-sense, and then come back to the real world with absolutely no memory?" Yuki did not look impressed and hoped that this woman wasn't simply trying to play him for a fool...

Lenore scowled. "I am nothing like that... that woman! It wasn't a trance, it was a vision. I didn't spout nonsense, made perfect sense to me! And above all, though I have a memory of it, it's not to be taken as lightly as you might think.... " Lenore stopped to catch her breath. When she had re-settled herself, she continued. "That was the kind of thing I was talking about..." she sighed. "That was the same kind of warning I got last time... When we were... you know.... ambushed." She looked down at her feet again.

"Ok, so what do you remember?" he asking making mental note of her aggitation at being compared to Otomeken for future refferance and questioning. But there were more pressing matters that he wanted to know about first....

"Which one do you want to know first?" Lenore smirked in his general direction.

"Which one? Which one of what? Just... Just tell me what you know... what this possible danger is...."
